Rev. Dr. Mary Altalo, recently gave up her position as a Licensed Religious Science Practitioner, which she had held since August 2012. As a Practitioner, she is trained to assist clients in replacing false beliefs that are blocking full self-expression and replacing them with Spiritual truths.
She also holds a PhD. in Biological Sciences from John Hopkins University and has worked in the field, in the classroom and the laboratory. One of her main interests is in the connections between science and religion/spirituality. She received her M.Div. through the Sophia Divinity School, a Seminary with the Independent Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch, and is now an ordained priest, a Spiritual Director, Retreat Master, and inter-faith minister. I am blessed to have Rev. Mary work with me at Beyond Spirit Education as she shares with us her unique perspective and gifts as a scientist, teacher, and minister.
Rev. Mary lives in Union Bridge, Maryland, Northeast of Baltimore with her dog, Belle. She also spends time in the D.C. area to be with her twin sons and their families. Mary is delighted to be associated with Beyond Spirit Education, and enjoys teaching, gardening, and reading.
Her Sophia Ministries offer conscious sacramental services, including baptisms, holy matrimony, and burials. Prayer and healing services are available, as are spiritual empowerment retreats and women’s circles.
