Rita became acquainted with SOM when she received a package from Louise Hay that had a notation on the front, “Bless The Postman.” The package contained “Day and Night Meditations” which helped her get thru working night shifts as an RN in intensive care. From there she explored where to find the closest Religious Science church, which turned out to be less than a mile away.
During her nursing career, she became more interested in peoples’ emotional healing and further studied and received a MA degree in Counseling Psychology. After she retired from nursing in behavioral health, one of many different areas of her 30-year nursing practice, she concentrated her studies in Religious Science and took classes, and obtained her Practitioner License in 2015.
Rita believes in the necessity of having balance in one ‘s emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health. Through her studies and practice of Religious Science, she knows that one’s spiritual health is what guides and directs the other bodies of well-being. She is also a Reiki Level III practitioner for 20 years and finds that Reiki and Science of Mind enhance each other’s spiritual practices. Currently, Rita enjoys co-leading a Spiritual Living Circle, is taking online classes through CSL and co-leads in CSL classes for accreditation, and participates in two on-line spiritual book clubs.
Rita can be reached at rj3000@comcast.net for prayer treatment or spiritual counseling.
